Your excellencies, honoured guests,
I wish that I could be there in person with you today. but unfortunately the Covid is altering our plans…
This pandemic has changed the way we look at public health forever. We mourn the tragic loss of human life and salute our brave healthcare workers. We have learned that public health is not a local matter but a global one requiring nations to work together. We have learned of the power of digital tools in both patient care and in national policy making. We have learned of the power of data and the importance of securing it.
Together collaboration between our nations can provide dividends in health for all.
What we are witnessing here is a miracle that we could not have imagined a few years ago. We are already witnessing the fruits of peace in this collaboration between Israel, Italy and the UAE. Together, we seek to work to advance healthcare for all of the people of the world.
The Israeli health system is a great source of pride. The quality of medicine in Israel is among the highest in the world.
I would like to share a bit about the Israeli digital health ecosystem.
Israel has well-established benefits as a laboratory for health innovation as we saw when we were able to share vaccination health data with the world.
* We have an unprecedented scope of computerized medical information spanning over more than 20 years
an advanced health care system,
leading human capital both in the medical field, and in technology,
and openness to innovation and rapid adoption of advanced medical technologies.
We are also very small, which allows quick implementation and testing of new technologies.
In recent years, the Ministry of Health has marked the field of digital health as a significant engine of growth for both the economy and the health system.
To further develop and implement AI tools in health, several other factors must be optimized
AI requires close collaboration with health systems and clinicians, an internationally harmonized regulatory framework, and a focus on adaptability.
Cooperation between countries is critical to support the development and implementation of artificial intelligence tools.
Through cooperation and dialogue between the United Arab Emirates, Israel and Italy we will ensure better availability of medical technologies and better care for our parents and for our children.
Thank you all very much, I wish you a successful convention, and I hope we shall all meet face to face very soon, without any new greek letters…
Shalom from Jerusalem!
Salam min Al-Quds!
Peace from Jerusalem!
Thank you
